Shuping Peng

Shuping Peng has a diverse range of work experience in various organizations. In 2019, they joined the Internet Engineering Task Force and held several roles, including GENDISPATCH WG Co-Chair, ART Area Review Team member, DISPATCH WG Co-Chair, Routing Area Directorate member, and SPRING WG Secretary. That same year, they also became the TC3 WG2 Vice Director at the China Communications Standards Association.

Prior to that, Shuping Peng worked at Huawei Technologies as a Principle Standards representative from 2016. In 2015, they co-founded Zeetta Networks and served as a Co-Founder. In 2017, they worked at Broadband Forum as the Editor of SD-407 and SD-420.

Before their time at Zeetta Networks, Shuping Peng was employed as a Senior Researcher at Fujitsu from 2015 to 2016. Shuping also worked at the University of Bristol as a Research Fellow from 2012 to 2015, focusing on EU, International, and UK projects related to data center control plane and data plane design.

From 2010 to 2012, Shuping Peng worked as a Research Officer at the University of Essex, where they focused on network virtualization in the optical network layer. Additionally, in 2011, they worked as a Visiting Scholar at Athens Information Technology and collaborated on the GEYSERS project, focusing on modeling virtual network planning.

In 2009, Shuping Peng was a Visiting Scholar at the University of Melbourne as part of an international student exchange program. Their research project during that time involved energy consumption in optical networks, resulting in a published paper.

Shuping Peng earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Physics from Jilin University between the years 2001 and 2005. After completing their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in CSEE (Computer Science and Electrical Engineering) from Peking University, which they obtained from 2005 to 2010.
