Luigi Carafa, PhD has a long and distinguished career in sustainability, energy, and climate change. Luigi began their career in 2009 as a Guest Lecturer at Universities, intl. In 2012, they were a Delegate at the United Nations, and also received the Desertec Award 2012 from Dii Desert Energy. In 2014, they were a UN COP Delegate at ONU Cambio Climático. In 2016, they were awarded the WEC Award 2016 from the World Energy Council, and was also a delegate at the Oxford 1.5 °C Summit. In 2017, they were a One Planet Summit Delegate at the Présidence de la République, and was also the Executive Director at the Climate Infrastructure Partnership and the Head of Energy and Climate Change at the Cidob Foundation. Currently, they are the Chief Sustainability Officer & Head of Institutional Affairs at Zeleros Hyperloop.
Luigi Carafa, PhD completed their education in the following order: a Bachelor's degree in Political Sciences and International Relations from Luiss Guido Carli University, a Master's degree in EU Public Policy from the College of Europe, a PhD in Public Policy (Energy and Climate Change) from Université de Toulouse, a training in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from Cotir, an Executive program in Climate and Sustainable Energy Finance from Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, and a Post-doc in Energy and Climate Policy from the University of Cambridge.
