In 2010, they became a Math Teacher at Breakthrough Collaborative. In 2013, they worked as an English Teacher at English as a Foreign Language and as a Tutor at C2 Education. In 2012, they were a Public Policy Intern at the Public Advocate for the City of New York. In 2015, they were a Statistical Analysis Intern at the New York Yankees. In 2016, they were a Consulting Analysis Associate at the Los Angeles Dodgers and a Data Modeling Analyst--Institutional Research at New York University. Most recently, in 2019, they became a Data Scientist at Zelus Analytics.
Andrew Hopen has a diverse educational background. Andrew earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from Wesleyan University in 2013, majoring in Mathematics and Philosophy. Andrew also received a TEFL Certification from The Language House in 2013. In 2011, they attended University of Cape Town, though they did not receive a degree. In 2017, they began a Master of Science (M.S.) in Data Science at New York University, which they completed in 2020.
