Nitin Dileep Salodkar

Nitin Dileep Salodkar has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Nitin Dileep started their career as a Software Engineer at Motorola India Electronics Pvt Ltd, where they developed software for the first Motorola 3G mobile phone. Nitin Dileep then moved on to work as a Researcher at GENERAL MOTORS TECHNICAL CENTRE INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED, focusing on battery modeling and car trim level optimization projects.

Salodkar's next role was as a Sr. R&D Engineer at Synopsys India Pvt Ltd, where they designed and developed electronic design automation software. Nitin Dileep contributed to the development of novel solutions that were commercially deployed and resulted in patents and publications.

Nitin Dileep later joined Samsung R&D Institute Bangalore as a Principal Engineer, where they served as an architect for smartphone software in the Internet of Things (IoT) domain. Nitin Dileep led teams in developing innovative solutions for the connected car and connected home domains, with a focus on using smartphones as IoT hubs.

Salodkar then transitioned into the field of data science, starting as a Data Scientist at Zendrive. Nitin Dileep quickly progressed, taking on roles such as Senior Data Scientist and Data Science Manager, where they built high-performing teams and delivered production code and models that led to market leadership. Nitin Dileep later became the Director of Data Science, involved in making strategic decisions for the team, including recruitment, platform and tool selection, and staying updated on technical advancements in the field.

Currently, Salodkar serves as the Vice President of Data Science & Engineering at Zendrive, where they are responsible for strategic and tactical decision-making for the entire Engineering team. Nitin Dileep has close involvement with various teams, including Backend, Frontend, Mobile, and Data Science, as well as Product, Customer Success, and Go-to-Market teams. Nitin Dileep plays a key role in shaping company strategy and driving overall company success.

Nitin Dileep Salodkar pursued their education in a chronological order. Nitin Dileep attended Somalwar High School to complete their SSC (Secondary School Certificate) and HSSC (Higher Secondary School Certificate) qualifications. Following this, from 1996 to 2000, they studied at VNIT Nagpur, where they obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Computer Science and Engineering. Later, from 2003 to 2008, Nitin attended the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, where they successfully completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science and Engineering.
