Udara Sandesha

Udara Sandesha has a strong background in software engineering, with experience in various roles. Udara is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Gapstars and as a Medior Back End Developer at Zero Friction, both starting in 2023.

Prior to their current positions, Udara worked at Calcey as a Senior Software Engineer from January 2021 to April 2023. In this role, they were involved in the development of a football-based mobile application used by top professional football clubs. Udara'sresponsibilities included API architecture design, creating API endpoints, event-driven development, and utilizing technologies such as .NET 7, C#, MediatR, and Entity Framework Core.

Before joining Calcey, Udara worked as a Software Engineer at Ateam Software from June 2020 to June 2021. During this time, they collaborated with an Australian company named Graycorp Pvt Ltd as an outsourced full-stack web developer. Udara'stasks included UI development, API bug fixing, participating in process improvement workshops, creating CI/CD pipelines, and preparing technical documentation. Udara utilized technologies such as VueJS, JavaScript, C#, ASP.NET MVC, ODATA 4.0, Entity Framework, and MS SQL.

Udara has also gained experience as a Software Engineer at DirectFN from October 2019 to April 2020, and as a Trainee Software Engineer at COLOMBO DOCKYARD PLC from October 2018 to October 2019. At DirectFN, they worked as a developer, and during their internship at COLOMBO DOCKYARD PLC, they completed a one-year program, contributing to requirement analysis, software development, testing, and user training using technologies such as C#, .NET Windows Forms, and DevExpress.

Udara Sandesha completed their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Colombo School of Computing from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Diploma in Computer System Design from the National Institute of Business Management (NIBM - Sri Lanka) from 2014 to 2015. Udara'shigh school education was completed at Mahanama College Colombo from 2004 to 2012, where they specialized in Mathematics.

In terms of additional certifications, Udara obtained the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft in January 2022. Udara also obtained the Verified International Academic Qualifications certification from the World Education Services in August 2021. In addition, they acquired the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in November 2022. Lastly, Udara obtained the Azure Service Fabric for Developers certification from LinkedIn in March 2023.
