Lokesh Agarwal

Lokesh Agarwal has a strong background in technology and software engineering. Lokesh currently holds the position of Chief Technology Officer at OneCode.in, a role they have held since July 2022. Prior to this, Lokesh worked at Facebook as a Staff Software Engineer from February 2019 to June 2022. During their time at Facebook, they led the privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs) infrastructure engineering team, focusing on rebuilding the Facebook ads stack to prioritize privacy. Lokesh also played a key role in building infrastructure for one of the largest advertising platforms in the world, targeting billions of users and millions of advertisers.

Before their role at Facebook, Lokesh worked at Amazon for several years. From July 2015 to February 2019, they served as a Senior Software Engineer, where they designed and implemented a new platform from scratch for Amazon's global business. Lokesh also led a team of 40+ cross-functional engineers to implement the platform in multiple phases. Prior to this, Lokesh worked as a Software Development Engineer II at Amazon from June 2013 to July 2015, where they designed and implemented web services to track, recommend, and validate the package path in Amazon Sort Centers. Lokesh also led a small team of five engineers in developing and maintaining container management infrastructure.

Lokesh's earlier work experience includes a role as a Member of Technical Staff at D. E. Shaw & Co. from July 2011 to June 2013. In this role, they designed and implemented various components of the global trading infrastructure and developed tools to maintain, monitor, and analyze its performance.

Lokesh Agarwal completed their Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Computer Science from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, spanning from the year 2007 to 2011.
