Andrew Yarwood

Andrew Yarwood is the current Head of Compliance & MLRO at Ziglu. Andrew has over thirteen years of experience in the compliance and risk management field. Prior to their current position, they served as the Deputy Chief Compliance Officer at Funding Circle UK from May 2018 to November 2020. Andrew was also the EMEA Head of Compliance Testing and Monitoring at Wells Fargo from September 2015 to April 2018.

Yarwood began their career in compliance at Standard Bank in February 2010 as the London Head Compliance Monitoring. In this role, they were responsible for developing and implementing risk-based procedures and standards for Monitoring and Testing activities to meet relevant rules and regulations. Andrew also supervised the development of team members work, including training new employees or those with lesser experience, reviewing work of others, and providing regular feedback.

In July 2007, Yarwood joined Northern Trust as the Vice President - Compliance & Risk. In this role, they were responsible for maintaining procedures and templates as necessary, reviewing AML KYC/CDD client files, conducting themed reviews of Training and Competence, Anti Financial Crime Controls, Data Privacy, and review of reporting requirements for NT's proposed Sweden Sales Office.

Yarwood has a long history of experience in the compliance field and is well-versed in developing relationships with other areas of the business to mutual benefit. Andrew has a proven track record in meeting with auditors and regulators as necessary and maintaining good relationships with business units and colleagues in NT's Anti Financial Crime team, Audit Team and Risk areas.

Andrew Yarwood is a level 1 foundation coach in the field of sports and exercise from ECB. Andrew also has a diploma in compliance from the International Compliance Association and financial planning certificates from Chartered Insurance Institute. Andrew also studied English, Theirtory, Geology, Geography and Maths at Hadham Hall.

Andrew Yarwood reports to Mark Hipperson, CEO. They work with Niall McConnell - CFO, Brandon Keenen - CMO, and Sarah King - CPEO.
