Umesh Naidu's work experience begins in 2000 as the National Sales Manager for the Consumer Products Division at Himalaya Herbals. During their time there, they developed the sales and distribution network for the company's consumer products business in India and Nepal. umesh also established the brand in modern trade and CSD, and set up shop-in-shop counters in over 150 locations.

In 2005, Naidu joined John Fowler (India) Pvt Ltd as the Business Head for the Consumer Health Products Division. In this role, they built the division from scratch by developing product ideas and implementing marketing and sales strategies.

From 2009 to 2011, Naidu served as the CEO (south) at Rohit Surfactants (P) Ltd. During this time, they established the company's presence in the South by setting up a greenfield project to manufacture detergents. umesh successfully positioned GHARI detergent as the second largest brand in the country.
