Guilherme Barreto Fernandes

Guilherme Barreto Fernandes has over 14 years of experience in data science and analytics roles. Guilherme most recently worked as a Lead Data Scientist at Zilch Technology Limited, starting in August 2020. Prior to this, they were a Senior Credit Risk Data Scientist at Oodle Car Finance from October 2019 to June 2020. From January 2019 to June 2019, they worked as an Analytics Consultant at Dun & Bradstreet UK. Before that, they spent several years at Serasa Experian, where they held the positions of Senior Data Scientist and Analytics Manager. At Serasa Experian, they led a research project called CredNexGen focused on the Next Generation of Credit Models and worked on a variety of projects in credit risk and marketing analytics. Between 2006 and 2010, they worked at Itaú Unibanco as a Senior Credit Risk Modelling Analyst, specializing in developing models and credit policies for SME portfolios. Throughout their career, Guilherme has gained expertise in credit scoring, behavior scoring, collection scoring, LGD, EaD, and PD models.

Guilherme Barreto Fernandes obtained a Master's degree in Economics and Finance from Insper Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa in 2012. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Statistics from UFSCar - Alumni in 2006. Guilherme also acquired several additional certifications in various areas, such as MLOps essentials, presentation skills, data science, and social network analysis.
