Zoltan Fazekas

Zoltan Fazekas has held various roles in the technology and blockchain industry. Zoltan is currently the Head of Research at Zilliqa, a position they have held since 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Technology Officer at both loob and MyPrivacy GmbH in 2022 and 2021 respectively. In 2018, they were the Head of Blockchain at Fachhochschule Technikum Wien. Additionally, they have worked as a Lecturer at FH Campus Wien | University of Applied Sciences since 2022. Zoltan also held the position of Head of Blockchain & Applications at CRC | Center for Risk- & Crisis Management in 2021. Zoltan has experience in the field of blockchain and distributed ledger technologies, having worked as a Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies expert at Austrian Standards in 2019. Zoltan is a Founding Board Member at European Public Network e.V. since 2021 and has served as a Blockchain Advisor at Digifox from 2021 to 2022. Furthermore, Zoltan has been a Blockchain and Governance Research Topic Editor at Frontiers since 2020.

Zoltan Fazekas has a Master's degree in Computer Science from Comenius University. Zoltan also has a PhD in Computer and Information Sciences from Slovak University of Technology.
