Mary McCarthy

Mary McCarthy is a Principal Scientist at Zoetis, where responsibilities include leading research and development projects since July 2021. Prior to this role, Mary was a Senior Scientist at Zoetis and held positions as a Research Instructor and Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, focusing on collaborations, molecular and immunoassay development for COVID-19, and host immunity mechanisms regarding mosquito-borne RNA viruses. Earlier experience includes research at the University of Michigan as a Graduate Student Researcher, characterizing adenovirus infections, and as a Professorial Assistant at Michigan State University, characterizing breast cancer biomarkers. Mary McCarthy earned a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Michigan and a BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Michigan State University.
