Richard Weishaar

Richard Weishaar has extensive work experience in the finance industry. Richard started their career as a Marketing Analyst at The Allant Group in 2001 and then moved on to work as a Senior Manager of Customer Analytics at Discover Financial Services from 2002 to 2007. At Discover Financial Services, they played a crucial role in providing data and analytic services for internal and external customers.

Following their time at Discover Financial Services, Weishaar worked at Sears Holding Corporation as a Manager of Business Analysis from 2007 to 2008. During this role, they directed strategies to increase revenue from Financial Services' marketing operations.

From 2008 to 2010, Weishaar worked as a Senior Manager of Risk Marketing Strategies at Discover Financial Services, where they designed and managed alternative risk management programs and improved portfolio profitability through various strategies.

In 2010, they became the Director of Acquisition Lines & Pricing at Discover Financial Services, responsible for managing new account loss forecasting and yield management activities.

Weishaar then took on various leadership roles at Discover Financial Services, including Director of Prime Card Line Management from 2012 to 2013, Director of Card Line Management from 2013 to 2015, and Senior Director of Decision Infrastructure from 2015 to 2018. In these roles, they led cross-functional initiatives, developed marketing programs, and modernized the company's decision management technologies.

In 2018, Weishaar joined CURO Financial Technologies Corp as the Vice President of Risk and Scoring. Richard led the Credit Risk team and introduced machine learning into operations, resulting in increased productivity and the launch of successful loan products.

Currently, Richard Weishaar is the Chief Credit Officer at Zolve, a position they assumed in August 2023. Here, they oversee credit policy and pricing initiatives, fraud detection, collections improvements, and reporting to major credit bureaus. Richard is responsible for driving credit quality for the organization.

In addition to their career roles, Weishaar also worked as an Independent Consultant from March 2023 to August 2023.

Richard Weishaar completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics and Physics at Western Michigan University. Richard then pursued a Master of Business Administration degree with a specialization in Financial Analysis at DePaul Driehaus College of Business. Additionally, Richard completed coursework in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Michigan.
