Jashim Salam

Jashim Salam is a skilled photographer with extensive experience in various roles within the photography industry. Currently serving as a Contract Photographer at ZUMA Press since 2013, Jashim also contributes to Majority World CIC as a photographer since 2007. As the Founding Director of Absurd Photos from 2014 to 2021, Jashim helped steer a co-operative photo agency focused on ethical practices in photography. Previous experience includes work as a photojournalist for The Daily New Age and DrikNews between 2007 and 2011. Jashim holds a Diploma of Education in Visual Journalism from Ateneo de Manila University and a Bachelor's Degree in Documentary Photography and Photojournalism from Pathshala South Asian Media Academy.
