Arun K.

Arun K. has extensive work experience in the field of data science and analytics. Arun is currently working as the Chief Data Scientist at Zuora since August 2021. Prior to that, they were the Head of Data Science at Workday from February 2018 to August 2021. Arun has also worked as the Senior Director of Data Science and Analytics at OneMarket (Formerly Westfield Labs) from September 2016 to November 2017, and at Ellation (Formerly Crunchyroll) from November 2015 to September 2016.

Before joining the industry, Arun had academic experience as a Teaching Associate at the University of Florida from 2001 to 2007, where their research focused on statistical genetics and mathematical biology. Arun also worked as a Senior Researcher at Yahoo! from September 2007 to September 2010.

In addition, Arun has experience in the software industry, having worked as a Software Analyst Intern at Infinite Consulting Inc from May 2003 to September 2003, where they developed a statistical analysis tool for energy consulting.

Earlier in their career, Arun held the position of Director of Data Science and Analytics at Visa from January 2014 to November 2015, where they worked on cybersecurity and data analytics projects using various tools and technologies.

Prior to that, they worked for Microsoft as a Senior Manager in Advertising Sciences from September 2010 to November 2013.

Arun is also a founding member of Humans For AI, a position they have held since 2017.

Arun K. has obtained an MS and PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science from the University of Florida. Prior to that, they pursued Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Madras.
