Konstantinos Galanakis

Konstantinos’ journey with computers started in the distant 1990 when his father bought him his first PC. It was black and green back then, but for him, it was enough. He immediately knew what he wanted to do with his life.

Many years later, after completing his Bachelor of Engineering in Electronic Computer Engineering and his Master of Science in Informational Systems, he started working as a Research and Development Engineer at a high-profile international Research Institute, on Human-Computer Interaction. It was one of his colleagues that introduced him to the WordPress world, a move that opened up a whole new world of possibilities for him. He created a small agency with his colleague and started building websites mostly for small local businesses. It was his desire to explore the internals of WordPress and give back to the amazing WordPress community that led him to apply for his first remote WordPress development job.

Konstantinos knew about 10up already from within some of its open-source products, plugins, and libraries but always thought it was a very long shot to apply for such a company (imposter syndrome kicking in). When 10up approached him, it was definitely a no-brainer.
