Jean-Nicolas Beaudry

Jean-Nicolas Beaudry has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Jean-Nicolas currently serves as the President of the Steering Committee at the Réseau de recherche scientifique propre aux minéraux critiques et stratégiques (MCS) - Québec since March 2023. Prior to this, they held various roles at 5N Plus inc., a global producer of specialty semiconductors and performance materials. Jean-Nicolas'sroles included Commercial Director, Technical Sales Director, Plant Manager, Technical Account Manager, Process Manager, and R&D Scientist.

In addition, Jean-Nicolas Beaudry served as a Board Member at PVthin, the International Thin-Film Solar Industry Association, from April 2016. Before their time at 5N Plus inc. and PVthin, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Université de Montréal from January 2007 to September 2008.

Jean-Nicolas Beaudry completed a Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal from 2001 to 2006. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering from the same institution, from 1997 to 2001. Jean-Nicolas also participated in a student exchange program at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) from 1999 to 2000. Currently, they are pursuing an Executive MBA from EMBA McGill HEC Montréal, starting in 2021 and expected to end in 2022.
