Rebecca Vargas

Rebecca Vargas is an experienced journalist currently serving as the Evening News Anchor at ABC 7 WWSB-TV since March 2020. Previously, Rebecca worked at WSVN-TV 7News as a News Reporter and Fill-in Anchor from November 2016 to June 2019, following a role as the Anchor of Good Morning Suncoast at ABC 7 WWSB-TV from 2013 to 2016. Rebecca's early career includes an internship at WSVN-TV's Deco Drive, where interviews with celebrities were conducted, and a News Anchor position at 96 News at Southeastern University. Additional experience includes hosting a talk show at R.A.W TV and interning at WFTV. Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Communications from Southeastern University, completed in 2012.
