Thomas Whelan

Thomas Whelan is an experienced professional in the events and hospitality sector, currently serving as the Director of Events for Northeast at Access since September 2024. Whelan has held significant roles on the Board of Directors for the SEARCH Foundation since January 2021 and has extensive operational expertise from a variety of positions at Levy Restaurants, including Director of Operations and Director of Banquets at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. Previous experience includes roles at Hard Rock International, Restaurant Associates, and Protein Bar, with a background in sales, marketing, and catering management. Whelan started a career in hospitality at Starbucks, where training as a Certified Barista Trainer and Coffee Master was also part of the journey. Education was completed at the University at Buffalo.
