Dorimar Morales, LCSW has extensive experience in the field of social work and psychotherapy. Dorimar started their career as a Case Worker at Housing Works, providing case management and counseling to clients with AIDS. Dorimar then worked as a Social Worker at Edwin Gould Services for Children & Families, before transitioning to the Metropolitan Center for Mental Health as a Psychotherapist. In 2009, they became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Birch Family Services, where they worked until 2015. During this time, they also served as a Faculty Instructor, Trainer, and Clinical Project Director at the Ackerman Institute for the Family, leading a Live-Clinical Supervision Group and facilitating training sessions. In 2013, Dorimar started their private practice, DM Psychotherapy, as a Psychotherapist. Their most recent role has been as a Bilingual School Social Worker with the NYC Department of Education since 2015.

Dorimar Morales, LCSW completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Theatre/Theater at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras from 1997 to 2002. Dorimar then pursued a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree at Hunter College from 2006 to 2008, specializing in Social Work.

In addition to their formal education, Dorimar obtained certifications in specific areas of focus. In 2008, they became a Certified Bilingual School Social Worker through the NYS Education Department. In 2012, they obtained a certification in Family and Couples Therapy from the Ackerman Institute for the Family.
