Sophie Rigg has a diverse work experience in the field of climate and humanitarian policy, with a focus on climate resilience and adaptation. Sophie has held positions such as Head of Policy and Research, Climate and Humanitarian at ActionAid UK, Senior Climate and Resilience Advisor at ActionAid UK, Co-Director and Chair of CAN-UK's Adaptation Working Group at Climate Action Network, and Global Board Member at GNDR. Prior to these roles, Sophie worked as a Development Manager at the United Nations Foundation, Programme Development Manager at Plan International UK, Knowledge and Impact Specialist at UNOPS, and Knowledge, Partnerships and Impact Manager at King's College London. Sophie has also worked as an International Public Relations Project Manager, Environmental Consultant, and Political Director and Campaign Manager in various organizations.

Sophie then pursued a BA in History from the University of Bristol from 2007 to 2010.
