Sophie Rigg

Sophie Rigg has a diverse work experience in the field of climate and humanitarian policy, with a focus on climate resilience and adaptation. Sophie has held positions such as Head of Policy and Research, Climate and Humanitarian at ActionAid UK, Senior Climate and Resilience Advisor at ActionAid UK, Co-Director and Chair of CAN-UK's Adaptation Working Group at Climate Action Network, and Global Board Member at GNDR. Prior to these roles, Sophie worked as a Development Manager at the United Nations Foundation, Programme Development Manager at Plan International UK, Knowledge and Impact Specialist at UNOPS, and Knowledge, Partnerships and Impact Manager at King's College London. Sophie has also worked as an International Public Relations Project Manager, Environmental Consultant, and Political Director and Campaign Manager in various organizations.

Sophie Rigg has a diverse education history. Sophie obtained a Masters (MA) in Disasters, Adaptation, and Development from King's College London from 2012 to 2015. Sophie then pursued a BA in History from the University of Bristol from 2007 to 2010. Additionally, they completed their International Baccalaureate at the International School of Sophia Antipolis, France from 1999 to 2006.

In terms of certifications, Sophie Rigg has received a Humanitarian Security Training certification from ILS in 2018, a Prince 2 Foundation and Practitioner certification from APMG International in 2016, a Documentary Film Degree from MetFilm School in 2012, and a Teaching English as a Foreign Language Degree from TEFL International, Barcelona in 2008.

Currently, Sophie Rigg is pursuing an MPA (Masters of Public Administration) in Climate Change Governance at the University of Birmingham from 2020 to 2023.
