Kathy Filkins

Kathy Filkins has over 30 years of work experience in various leadership and technical roles. Kathy is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at ActiveHealth, where they are responsible for personalized population health management and driving member engagement. Prior to this, Kathy worked at CVS Health as the Executive Director of Technology, Architecture, and Innovation. Kathy also had an extensive career at IBM, where they held multiple positions including Worldwide Client Success and Software Adoption Business Unit Executive, Technical Sales Manager, and Senior Software IT Architect. Additionally, Kathy worked at Aetna as the Head of Technical Solution Design and at IBM Rational Software as a Technical Services Manager and Senior IT Architect. Kathy started their career at Computer Associates as an Account Executive and Advanced Practices Consultant/Solutions Engineer, and also spent time at Texas Instruments and MassMutual Life Insurance Company in various technical roles.

Kathy Filkins completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in the years 1982 to 1986. Kathy then pursued their Masters in Management from The Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University from 1987 to 1988.

In addition to their formal education, Kathy Filkins has obtained several certifications. Kathy is an Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner certified by IBM, which they obtained in July 2017. Kathy is also an IBM Certified Solution Advisor for Cloud Computing Architecture V5, which they obtained in October 2016. Kathy Filkins holds the Architect Profession Certification - Level 2 Expert from IBM. Kathy is a Certified SAFe® 4 Agilist certified by Scaled Agile, Inc., and an IAITAM - Certified Software Asset Manager- CSAM certified by the International Association of IT Asset Managers. Furthermore, Kathy Filkins has obtained certifications in IBM Analytics Foundations for Architects, IBM Blockchain Essentials, IBM Recognized Teacher/Educator, IBM Security Essentials for Architects, and Team Solution Design. Kathy also holds a Professional Certification: Level 2 - Master Certified Solution Architect from The Open Group.
