Liliana Almeida

Liliana Almeida has over 15 years of work experience in procurement and finance roles. Liliana is currently the Head of Procurement at ADQ since November 2019. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Finance and Procurement at the Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 2019, where they successfully managed a large team and implemented efficient processes. Liliana also held the position of Procurement Manager at Tamkeen and was responsible for the development of the New York University Abu Dhabi Campus. Liliana worked as a Procurement Business Relationship Manager at Majid Al Futtaim Properties and led the Oracle ERP implementation project. Liliana's experience includes roles at TDIC, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. - Aloft Abu Dhabi, Google, Siemens, Faurecia, and an internship at the Portuguese Consulate in Naples, Italy.

Liliana Almeida completed their Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and International Relations at Universidade Nova de Lisboa from 1998 to 2003. Liliana then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management at London Business School from 2012 to 2014. In 2023, Liliana obtained certifications in MCIPS from CIPS - The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply, and in Investment Foundations Certificate in Finance and Financial Management Services from CFA Institute. Liliana also attended the ADQ Leadership Program at INSEAD in the same year. In 2004 and 2005, Liliana completed Qualifying Training in Purchasing at ATEC – Advanced Training Education Centre as a joint venture between Siemens, Bosh, and Volkswagen. Additionally, Liliana obtained the CybSafe Certification in Security Awareness from CybSafe in 2021.
