Alex Walton

Alex Walton joined the AgAmerica team in January 2021 as an Associate Director of Credit at the Charlotte, North Carolina office. Alex is a licensed CPA and a CFA candidate. Alex graduated from the University of South Carolina Honors College where he earned his B.S. in business administration as well as his Master of Accountancy degrees.

He began his career in public accounting at Grant Thornton where he managed the audit and assurance engagements for numerous public and private companies. Alex then transitioned to Nuveen where he was responsible for managing the accounting and finance teams supporting over $3B in private equity and private debt funds, including a farmland fund with over $2B in farmland investments.

In his current role at AgAmerica, Alex specializes in credit underwriting. Alex’s education and career experience provide him with the financial expertise to customize the best financial solutions possible for the clients they serve.
