Michael Hamby

Michael Hamby has had an extensive career in the animal health industry. Michael is currently serving as the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at AgroFresh since July 2021. Prior to this, they held various leadership roles at Boehringer Ingelheim, including Head of Animal Health - Regional Operating Unit (ROPU) South America from April 2019 to July 2021, and Vice President, Head of US Pet Business from January 2017 to March 2019. Before joining Boehringer Ingelheim, they worked at Merial, a Sanofi Company, as the Head of U.S. Business Operations - Pets and Large Animal from July 2016 to December 2016, and as the Head of Large Animal and Equine Business, U.S. from July 2015 to July 2016. Prior to Merial, they had roles at Zoetis as the National Business Director, U.S. Pork Business Unit from June 2012 to July 2015, and as the Associate Director of Operations - U.S. Cattle Business Unit from April 2011 to June 2012. Michael also gained valuable experience at Pfizer, where they served as the Marketing Manager - U.S. Cattle Biologicals from January 2009 to April 2011, and as a Territory Manager - Cattle from July 2006 to January 2009. In the early years of their career, they worked at AgVet Associates as the Regional VP/Co-Owner from December 2001 to July 2006, and at Farnam Companies as the Regional Sales Manager - Livestock from September 1991 to December 2001.

Michael Hamby obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business and Management from California State University, Chico from 1986 to 1991. Michael also completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration and Management from Texas Christian University from 2011 to 2012.
