Sigurjon Thordarson

Sigurjon Thordarson is an experienced aviation professional with a robust background in safety, compliance, and training. Currently serving as Director Safety and Compliance, as well as Director Flight Safety at Air Atlanta Icelandic since June 2010, Sigurjon has also held the role of Quality Assurance Manager at Air Atlanta Aviaservices since January 2016. Prior professional experiences include Chief Ground Instructor and Chief Operating Officer at Icelandic Flight Academy, Head of Training at Air Atlanta Icelandic, and Manager Flight Training Administration at Cargolux Airlines. Sigurjon's career in aviation commenced with operations at Air Atlanta Icelandic, and educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management from the Florida Institute of Technology and studies at the Commercial College of Iceland.
