Strain Engineering at Air Protein

Saad Abdullah has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2010 with self-employment as an Electronics Repair and Assembly technician. In 2017, they began working as an Audio/Braille Book Technician at the Disability Center of Modesto Junior College. Saad also worked as a Biology, Chemistry, and Calculus Tutor from 2017-2018. In 2018, they were an Outreach and Activities Coordinator for the UCD MSA. From 2020-2021, they worked at the UC Davis Medical Center as a Student Intern, Emerald Cloud Lab as a Laboratory Operator II, Cardinal Biocraft as a Synthetic Biology RA, and Stanislaus Cardiology Group as an intern/observer. Currently, they are working as a Strain Engineering RAII at Air Protein and a Researcher for Nemesis Bioengineering Team at iGEM Venture Creations Lab.

Saad Abdullah began their education in 2012 when they obtained their high school diploma from Hart-Ransom Academic Charter. In 2015, they completed memorization of the Quran at Iqra Center and continued their education at Modesto Junior College, studying Biomedical/Medical Engineering. In 2018, they graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California, Davis.
