Alison Sural

Head of Communications, Marketing, Customer Success at Airside

Alison Sural has extensive experience in communications, marketing, and customer success. Alison began their career in 2000 as a National Desk Assignment Editor for CNN, where they led the national news desk during the Richard Reid shoe bomber incident. Alison then moved to the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) as a Transnational Threats Initiatives Program in 2003. In 2005, they joined the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) as a Senior Policy Analyst and Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary. Alison then served as the first DHS representative to the White House Situation Room at the National Security Council in 2007. In 2016, they became the Owner, Writer, and Editor of Anchor Boom, LLC, providing writing and editing services. Finally, in 2017, they joined Airside Mobile, Inc. as the Head of Communications, Marketing, and Customer Success. Her responsibilities included communications and public engagement, consumer marketing and lead gen marketing, and website, social media, and newsletter maintenance.

Alison Sural completed their B.A. in Developing Nations at The University of the South between 1995 and 1999. Alison then went on to receive their M.A. in International Relations from St. John's University Rome Campus Graduate Programs between 2002 and 2004. In 2019, they obtained a Yoga Specialty Certification from Shanti Niketan Ashram in July, and a Yoga Instructor Certification - Level I from the same institution in January.
