Quercus Hamlin began their career in 2012 as a Research Technician at the University of Notre Dame. In 2015, they moved to Michigan State University, where they served as an Undergraduate Research Assistant. In 2017, they accepted a role as a Research Assistant at Syracuse University. From 2018 to 2021, they worked as an NSF Graduate Research Fellow at Michigan State University. They currently work as a Geospatial Analytics Engineer at Airspace Link, Inc.

Quercus Hamlin completed a Bachelor of Science in Geographic Information Science and Cartography from Michigan State University in 2017. They then went on to earn a Master of Science in Environmental Geoscience from the same university in 2020.
