Görkem Suner

Görkem Suner is the current General Manager Alapala Makina at Alapala. Prior to this position, Suner was with the Whirlpool Corporation from June 2017 to November 2018 where they were Chairman Of The Board Of Directors. Before that, Suner was with Arçelik A.Ş. from October 2003 to June 2017 where they were Group Manager - Manufacturing. In this role, they were responsible for executing the actions of the plant's manufacturing processes in 165.000 sqmt closed area. Görkem also served as a mother manufacturing department to Arçelik’s other 8 refrigerator plants in 6 countries, with all aspects, including but not limited to know-how transfer, engineering and skilled labor support and project based management. Some of their other responsibilities included budgeting, scrap rates, quality, component manufacturing, equipment, maintenance, investment, OHS, energy, environment and social responsibility projects.

Görkem Suner has a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University, an M.B.A. in Business Administration and Management from Salisbury University - Perdue School of Business, and a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Istanbul Technical University. Görkem also has certification from Arçelik Global in Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB).

They are on a team with Cenk Yoldaş - Construction Unit Director, Carlo Silvestrin - Director of Milling Technology, and Cengiz Tiryakioğlu - Depart Director. Görkem Suner reports to Can Gürcan, General Manager.
