Brendon Allen

Brendon Allen has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Brendon began their career at Netopia, Inc. in 1995 as a Software Engineer and later became a Senior Software Engineer. In 2001, they moved to LiveTime Software as a Software Engineer. Allen then returned to Netopia, Inc. in 2004 as an Integration Engineer.

In 2010, they joined Motorola Inc. as a Senior Professional Services Manager. Brendon then transitioned to the Motorola Connected Home Division of Google Inc. in 2011 as the Director of Professional Services DRM Technologies, managing DRM delivery across major customer rollouts.

Allen joined ARRIS in 2013 as the Director of Software Solution Services, overseeing customer delivery and support for the Medios Portfolio of software products. Brendon later became the Director of Software Engineering, managing engineering direction for the ARRIS ServAssure product line.

In 2016, they joined Lowe's Companies, Inc. as a Principal Software Engineer, working on the Iris By Lowes project. Brendon then became the Senior Software Engineering Manager, responsible for the orchestration layer integration and liaison between customer support and QA teams.

Aside from their work at Lowe's, Allen also co-owns Lawrence Beer Company, a brew house and restaurant launched in 2017. Brendon mainly focuses on the IT and financial aspects of the business.

Most recently, Allen joined Alarm.com in 2019 as the Director of Software Development, and later became the Senior Director of Software Engineering.

Brendon Allen's education history includes obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Computer Science from The University of Kansas between 1995 and 2000. Later, they pursued an MBA in International Business from Melbourne Business School from 2002 to 2004, followed by a brief period of study at Erasmus University, Rotterdam School of Management in 2003. In 2008, Brendon undertook a Master of Engineering in Engineering Management from the University of Pennsylvania, specifically at The Wharton School, which they completed in 2010.
