Kristian Tølbøl

Head of Visual Computing Lab at Alexandra Instituttet

Kristian Tølbøl's work experience includes various roles in multiple companies. From 2014 to 2018, they worked as a Ph.D. student at the Technical University of Denmark, where they focused on microfabrication and software development for automated data analysis. During this time, they also served as a teacher and supervisor for a master's course. In 2014, they worked as a research assistant at DTU Nanotech. Kristian then became a co-founder of Copenhagen Nanosystems - cphnano, where they played a vital role in taking a patent from ideation to market launch. Since 2018, Tølbøl has been employed at Alexandra Instituttet, initially as a visual computing engineer, and later as the Head of Visual Computing Lab. In this role, they have been involved in computer vision development, project management, and business development for commercial and public projects.

Kristian Tølbøl completed their education in a chronological order. In 2007, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Nanobioscience from the University of Southern Denmark. Kristian continued their studies and earned an Elitekandidat degree in Nanobioscience and interdisciplinary natural science studies from the same university from 2010 to 2013. Lastly, from 2014 to 2018, they pursued a Ph.D. in Physics and Nanotechnology at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).
