James Willer has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. James began their career in 2014 as an intern at The Police Foundation, where they gained valuable insights into criminal justice and policing. James later worked as a research assistant, contributing to a comprehensive review of neighborhood policing. In 2015, they worked as an independent contractor at Equiniti, specializing in project analysis. In 2016, they joined The Lawyer as a research analyst, delivering market reports and providing strategic guidance to law firms. James progressed to the role of senior research analyst, responsible for managing data collection and analysis. In 2019, they transitioned to ALM, starting as a senior legal analyst before being promoted to lead legal analyst and eventually becoming the director of legal intelligence in 2021. Throughout their work experience, James has demonstrated a strong analytical acumen, research skills, and the ability to provide valuable insights to support decision-making and strategy development.

James Willer attended Central Sussex College from 2007 to 2009, where they studied Law, Geography, and Sociology. James then enrolled at the University of East Anglia from 2009 to 2012, earning a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree. Following this, James pursued further education at the University of Sussex from 2012 to 2013, obtaining a Master of Laws (LLM) degree with a specialization in Law.
