Philip Auerswald

Philip Auerswald is a Professor of Public Policy at George Mason University’s Schar School of Policy and Government, with a focus on entrepreneurship and innovation in a global context. Positions held include Presidential Fellow at George Mason University, Co-Chair of the American Innovation Advisory Council for America250, and Founding Board Chair of the National Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Philip is also an accomplished author, having written "The Code Economy: A Forty-Thousand-Year History" and "The Coming Prosperity." Additionally, roles have included Co-Founder and Co-Editor of the Innovations Journal, Chief Academic Officer at the Hult Prize Foundation, and Senior Fellow/Advisor at the Kauffman Foundation. Educational background includes a BA in Political Science from Yale University and a PhD in Economics from the University of Washington.
