Alejandra Martin

Alejandra Martin, PhD, has a diverse work experience in research roles. Alejandra started their career as a Research Assistant at the University of California, Berkeley & University of Los Angeles Middle School Diversity Project in 2012. Later that year, they became a Research Apprentice at URAP, where they assisted Dr. Kim Voss in a Sociology project. In 2013, Alejandra worked as a Market Research Assistant at Eye Faster, LLC. Alejandra then joined the American Institutes for Research in 2014 and held various positions including Research Assistant, Research Associate, and most recently, Researcher. The dates for their roles at this company vary, with their current role as a Researcher starting in January 2021.

Alejandra Martin, PhD, has an extensive education history. Alejandra began their academic journey at the University of California, Berkeley, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from 2009 to 2013. After completing their undergraduate studies, they pursued further education at UCLA, where they obtained a Master's degree in Education from 2017 to 2020. Building upon their Master's degree, Alejandra went on to complete their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Education at UCLA from 2020 to 2022.

In addition to their academic degrees, Alejandra also holds two certifications. In 2014, they obtained the CLASS Pre-K Observer certification from Teachstone. In 2015, they obtained the CLASS K-3 Observer certification, also from Teachstone. These certifications highlight their expertise in observing and assessing the quality of classroom interactions and teaching practices in both pre-kindergarten and K-3 settings.
