Senior Researcher In Education Systems at American Institutes for Research

Holly Williams is currently a Senior Researcher in Education Systems at the American Institutes for Research, a position they started in July 2022. Prior to this, they worked at the Austin Independent School District where they held various roles. From July 2000 onwards, they served as the Director of the Department of Research and Evaluation. Before that, they were the Assistant Director for Accountability, Student Services, and Research starting from July 1996. Additionally, they worked as a Title I Evaluator from October 1994 to July 1996.

Before joining the Austin Independent School District, Holly worked as a Research Analyst at the Texas Education Agency from January 1992 to September 1994. Holly also gained experience as a Psychological Services Provider at the Dallas Independent School District from September 1987 to July 1989.

Holly Williams pursued their education in the field of psychology. Holly started their academic journey at Southern Methodist University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Psychology from 1980 to 1984. Following this, they attended the same institution for their Master of Arts (MA) degree in Clinical Psychology, completing it from 1985 to 1987. Holly then furthered their studies at The University of Texas at Austin, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Educational Psychology between 1989 and 1994.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Holly Williams obtained a certification as a Licensed Psychologist in the state of Texas in December 2020. This certification was granted by the Texas Psychological Association.
