Oshin Khachikian

Researcher, Mixed-methods at American Institutes for Research

Oshin Khachikian, Ph.D. has extensive experience in research and academia. They are currently working as a Researcher in Mixed-Methods at the American Institutes for Research since September 2021. From 2019 to August 2021, Oshin worked as a Researcher at the Connected Learning Lab. Prior to that, they served as a Research Assistant at UC Irvine from September 2016 to August 2021 and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant from September 2014 to August 2016. Oshin also worked as a Research Analyst at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA from July 2011 to September 2012.

Oshin Khachikian, Ph.D. obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Sociology from UC Irvine in 2021. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Arts degree in Social Science from the University of Chicago in 2011. Their undergraduate education was completed at UCLA, where they graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Global Studies from 2007 to 2009.

In addition to their formal degrees, Oshin Khachikian has obtained several certifications. They became a Certified Human Subjects Researcher through the CITI Program in December 2021. Furthermore, in the same month, they also achieved the certification of a Group Design Standards version 4.1 Certified Reviewer from the U.S. Department of Education's Institute of Education Sciences What Works Clearinghouse. In February 2023, Oshin gained the certification of Leadership: Practical Skills from LinkedIn.
