Thiyagu Rajakannan

Thiyagu Rajakannan has a diverse work experience in the research and academia field. Thiyagu is currently employed at the American Institutes for Research as a Senior Researcher, Practice Hub Lead, and Project Director. Prior to this, they worked as a Research Associate at IMPAQ International from 2018 to 2021. Thiyagu also served as a Research Fellow at ClinicalTrials.gov at The National Institutes of Health from 2015 to 2018, where they were involved in leading research projects and policy development related to clinical trial registration and results reporting. Thiyagu Rajakannan was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of Maryland, Baltimore from 2012 to 2015, working on projects related to pediatric mental health and medication adherence. Thiyagu also has teaching experience as a Faculty of Pharmacy at Manipal University, India from 2011 to 2012, where they taught Pharmacotherapy and Clinical Pharmacy. Additionally, they worked as a Senior Research Fellow for the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and completed various projects in different therapeutic areas. Thiyagu Rajakannan started their career as a Trainee at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in 2010.

Thiyagu Rajakannan began their education in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences. From 1999 to 2003, they attended medical jobs updates and earned a B.Pharmacy degree. Thiyagu furthered their studies and obtained an M.Pharmacy degree from medical jobs updates, completing this program from 2004 to 2006. Thiyagu Rajakannan then pursued their highest level of education, a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Manipal International University. Thiyagu dedicated four years to their PhD program, from 2007 to 2011.
