Titus Payne

Titus Payne has a diverse work experience spanning across multiple sectors. Titus started their career as a Sales and Marketing Manager at Discovery Farms, where they managed the Community Supported Agriculture program and handled bulk sales to grocers and restaurants. Subsequently, they worked as a Student Clerk at the Wheaton College Post Office, where they were responsible for picking up and delivering mail to students' on-campus PO Boxes.

In 2015, Titus joined the Wheaton College Science Station as part of the Kitchen Staff, where they prepared the dining hall for professors, students, and staff, as well as cleaned the dining hall, dishes, and kitchen after each meal. Additionally, they briefly served as a Resident Assistant at the Science Station, handling greeting incoming students, assigning them to dorm rooms, and reporting maintenance and repair needs to the Science Station Director.

Titus then took on various roles within Wheaton College, starting as a Research Assistant, supporting the department chair's personal research in criminology and criminal justice. In this role, they gathered, analyzed, and assessed relevant scholarly sources and government publications. Titus also worked as a Resident Assistant, providing leadership and guidance to undergraduate students, managing floor funds for programming, and organizing meetings.

In 2017, Titus took on research internships at two different organizations. At the SEIU Local 1, they assisted in administrative tasks and gained proficiency in utilizing databases for unionization campaigns. Titus also received formal training in utilizing the databases of Lexis Nexis for Development Professionals. At The National Center for Domestic Violence, Trauma, and Mental Health, they worked as a Policy Intern, conducting research on the national opioid epidemic and the economic impact of intimate partner violence. Titus'sresearch contributed to the organization's official publications.

Titus Payne attended Wheaton College from 2014 to 2018, where they studied Sociology. Titus obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology during their time at Wheaton College.
