Dr. Pape Cisse

Dr. Pape Cisse, PMP has a wealth of experience in the field of information technology and project management. Dr. Pape currently holds the position of Chief Information Officer (CIO) at AmeriCorps and the Corporation for National and Community Service. In these roles, they are responsible for formulating and administering policy and operational activities related to computer technology systems and networks. Dr. Cisse is skilled in aligning technology initiatives with federal government initiatives such as Cloud First and Agile application development. Dr. Pape also plays a key role in strategic management activities and business transformation efforts within these organizations.

In addition to their current roles, Dr. Cisse has worked as an Adjunct Faculty member at George Washington University since 2000. Earlier in their career, Dr. Cisse worked as an IT Project Manager at the United States Department of Transportation, managing multi-year, multi-million dollar projects, and focusing on research projects ranging from intelligent transportation to the next generation GPS. Prior to that, they served as a Systems Engineer for US DOT.

Dr. Pape Cisse, PMP has an extensive educational background. In 1998, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Peru State College. Following this, from 2001 to 2003, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Information Systems from The George Washington University School of Business. Dr. Cisse then continued their academic journey and obtained a Doctorate degree in Information Assurance from the University of Maryland between 2007 and 2010. Lastly, in 2013, they completed a Post Doctoral Degree in Executive Management from Harvard University.
