Rebecca Shultz has a diverse and extensive work experience in the fields of fitness, product management, biomechanics, and academia. Rebecca is currently working as a Product Lead, Fitness Experience at a connected fitness startup. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Product & Design at Athos and also held the role of Senior Product Manager there. Rebecca has also worked as a Product Manager & UX Designer at Lumo Bodytech and as a Clinical Biomechanist at Stanford Health Care. Additionally, they have worked as a Lab Manager, Clinical Biomechanist, and Clinical Biomechanist & Lead Researcher at the Sports Medicine Center, Stanford University. Rebecca has also contributed to academia as a Quarterly Adjunct Professor at Santa Clara University and as a Consultant on the Medical Fitness Model at the Tahoe Center for Health & Sports Performance. Rebecca began their career as an NSRL Intern at Nike.
Rebecca Shultz holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University, which they completed between 2000 and 2005. Rebecca then pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Kinesiology and Exercise Science at The University of Western Ontario from 2005 to 2009. In 2015, Rebecca obtained a Youth Exercise Specialist certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Behavioral Economics Bootcamp from Irrational Labs in 2021 and Health Coach certification from the American Council on Exercise (ACE Fitness) in 2015.
