Christopher Mugler

Christopher Mugler has worked in various roles since 2008. Christopher began their career as a Resident Assistant with the Expanding Pathways in Science, Engineering and Mathematics Program at UC Santa Barbara. In 2009, they became a Biology Tutor at Advantage Testing. In 2010, they became a Graduate Student Instructor at University of California, Berkeley, where they received the Outstanding Graduate Student Instructor award from Graduate Division's GSI Teaching & Resource Center. In 2015, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at ETH Zurich and NIH Bridges to Baccalaureate Program, where they were the Lead Coordinator. Since 2018, they have been a Scientist at Amyris, where they were the Metabolic strain engineering lead for molecule project and an individual contributor on one additional project. Christopher successfully engineered strains to meet multiple external performance milestones.

Christopher Mugler obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from UC Santa Barbara between 2004 and 2008. Christopher then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in the same field from the University of California, Berkeley, which they completed in 2014.
