Gibson Sakong

Gibson Sakong is the Founder and Executive Chairman of Montshepetja Academy, established in May 2001, where a Mentoring and Coaching Program focuses on enhancing critical thinking, planning, English language, writing, speaking, leadership skills, and sports-related activities. Additionally, Gibson serves as the Senior Manager of Corporate Safety and Security at AngloGold Ashanti since April 2011, overseeing security services for executives and their families, managing risk assessment strategies, and leading training and development initiatives. Gibson's experience includes prior roles as Security Superintendent in several mining operations and holding an OHS Committee Chairman position, further emphasizing expertise in safety, security management, and staff leadership. Education includes a B-Tech Degree in Security Risk Management and a National Diploma in Security Management from the University of South Africa, along with completion of a management development program at Stellenbosch University.
