Galen Wang

Galen Wang has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries and roles. They are currently working as a Software Engineer at Anyscale since June 2022. Before that, they worked as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon Web Services (AWS) from June 2020 to March 2022. Prior to AWS, Galen worked as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at The University of British Columbia from September 2018 to April 2020. They also gained valuable industry experience as a Video Engineering Intern at Apple from September 2019 to December 2019. Galen had two internships in 2019 - one as a Software Development Engineer Intern at Amazon, where they worked on data processing and product expansion, and another as a Full Stack Software Developer Intern at Hypatia Systems, where they contributed to the development of a real-time interpreted WYSIWYG desktop application. They also interned as a Product Manager at Roblox in 2018. Lastly, Galen started their career as a Project Associate at Enactus Canada, where they worked on a start-up incubator project focused on social entrepreneurship.

Galen Wang attended Gleneagle Secondary School from 2011 to 2015. After completing secondary school, Galen Wang pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a Combined Major in Business and Computer Science (BUCS) from The University of British Columbia. This educational journey spanned from 2015 to 2020.
