Madeline Rooney

Senior Specialist, Communications at APHL

Madeline Rooney is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in public health and scientific research. Currently serving as the Senior Specialist for Communications at the Association of Public Health Laboratories since September 2016, Madeline leads publication production and website development initiatives. Previously, Madeline held the role of Education and Communications ORISE Fellow at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and gained valuable experience as a Health Communications Intern at UNICEF, where engagement with youth through the Ureport program was emphasized. Earlier career pursuits include research assistance at Rockefeller University, focusing on Alzheimer's disease, and roles in athletic training and summer research, contributing to a strong foundation in both scientific and communicative disciplines.
