Chief Strategy Officer at Apollo Agriculture

Sarah Huber is the current Chief Strategy Officer at Apollo Agriculture. Prior to this, they were the Head of Value Chain Development at Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc from November 2019 to April 2022. During their time there, they pioneered a nationwide program to transform wheat production in Nigeria and reduce food imports and pressure on currency. Sarah also convened a landmark partnership between the food industry, Central Bank of Nigeria, Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, domestic and international researchers, NGOs and farmers. Sarah also envisioned and established an outgrower program with 2,000 farmers, demonstration farms in 15 states training 10,000 farmers, 40 procurement centers, seed production, and research trials. Lastly, they initiated and led a sector-wide collaboration to produce the first official national statistics on wheat production in 7 years, leveraging GIS technology for the first time for higher accuracy, which was published online by the National Bureau of Statistics.

Prior to their work in Nigeria, Sarah was the Senior Director, Strategic Services / Senior Advisor to CEO at Ethiopian Agricultural Transformation Agency (ATA) from September 2017 to February 2019. Before that, they were the CEO of Driptech, Inc. from June 2010 to December 2015.

Sarah Huber has a MIA from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in International Finance & Policy and a B.S. from MIT in Management Science. Sarah also has a MIA from Columbia | SIPA in International Finance & Policy.

Sarah Huber reports to Eli Pollak, Founder & CEO. They are on a team with Jolien Paalman - Chief of Staff to CEO, Earl St. Sauver - Chief Technology Officer, and Benjamin Njenga - Co-Founder & Chief Customer Officer.
