Ben Vogler has extensive experience in the automotive industry, specifically in hybrid powertrain system control. Ben most recently worked at Applied EV - Software Defined Machines™ as a Senior Software Engineering Manager, starting in March 2023. Prior to that, they held the role of Senior Software Engineer at the same company from February 2022 to March 2023.
Before joining Applied EV, Ben worked at Toyota North America, where they held various positions in hybrid powertrain system control. Ben began as an Engineer in September 2015 and progressed to Senior Engineer in February 2017. From September 2020 to January 2022, Ben served as the Principal Engineer in hybrid powertrain system control.
Additionally, Ben worked at Toyota Motor Corporation as a Senior Engineer in hybrid powertrain system control from June 2018 to September 2020. Prior to this, they were a Software Engineer at Toyota Technical Center - Australia from January 2009 to April 2015, focusing on the development of simulators for Toyota hybrid vehicles.
In 2014, Ben had a secondment to the Vehicle Control System Infrastructure Development Department at Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan HQ, where they worked as a Design Engineer. Their primary responsibility was the construction of a multi-domain, full vehicle drive simulation environment, requiring coordination with various Toyota departments and external companies.
Ben Vogler attended the University of Melbourne from 2004 to 2008, where they received a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
