Michael-Bryant Hicks

Michael-Bryant Hicks is currently the EVP, General Counsel, & Corporate Secretary at Apria Healthcare. Prior to this, they served as the General Counsel at Elanco from May 2018 to March 2021. Before that, they were the Senior Vice President, General Counsel at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals from March 2016 to February 2018, where they were responsible for all legal functions, including litigation, intellectual property, environmental impact, regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and other general legal activities. From February 2011 to December 2013, they served as the Assistant General Counsel at DaVita, Inc., where they managed legal support for the mergers and acquisitions function and helped negotiate and close over 80 acquisitions per year, including the largest merger in the healthcare provider industry for 2012 with DaVita's acquisition of HealthCare Partners. After closing that deal, they served as interim general counsel for all HealthCare Partners legal matters. Prior to that, they were the Associate General Counsel at Beckman Coulter from September 2006 to January 2011.

Michael-Bryant Hicks is a lawyer who attended Yale Law School. Michael-Bryant also did Afro-Ecuadorian Economic Development Work as a Fulbright Scholar. Prior to that, they studied psychology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Michael-Bryant also attended Carver High School and Leadership Council on Legal Diversity.
