Crystal Mendoza, Ph.D., has a diverse work experience in the field of biomedical sciences and infectious diseases. From 2013 to 2021, they worked as a Doctoral Candidate in the laboratory of Hideki Ebihara, Ph.D. at Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. Crystal'sresearch focused on the molecular mechanisms and pathogenesis of tick-borne pathogens. Additionally, they served as a Teaching Assistant from January to March 2015.

In 2021, Crystal joined the APHL - Association of Public Health Laboratories as an Infectious Disease Fellow, where they worked until March 2022.

Currently, Crystal is employed at Apriori Bio as a Scientist, starting their position in March 2022.

Crystal Mendoza, Ph.D., has an extensive education history in the field of biomedical sciences. Crystal earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Cell and Molecular Biochemistry from The University of Texas at El Paso, graduating in 2013. Following this, Crystal went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Virology and Gene Therapy from the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. Crystal completed their Ph.D. in 2021.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Crystal has obtained additional certifications. In 2020, they received a Certificate in Science Communication from CIERA. Crystal further enhanced their expertise by obtaining a certification in Biomedical Research from the CITI Program in 2021. Crystal's education and certifications reflect their dedication to knowledge and proficiency in their field.
