Brett Anderson has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in different companies. Brett is currently working as a Systems Engineer at Apton Biosystems since June 2022.

Prior to that, Brett was a Senior Systems Engineer at IDbyDNA from November 2020 to June 2022. In this role, they were part of a team establishing a new chemistry lab site and was responsible for hardware and software engineering/automation. Brett also developed new assays and proof-of-principle experiments using various techniques.

Brett also has academic experience. Brett worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Boston University from September 2013 to August 2014 and completed their Doctoral Research at the same university from September 2006 to August 2013.

Additionally, Brett has research assistant experience at the University of Washington. Brett worked as a Research Assistant in the Department of Neurological Surgery from March 2006 to August 2006, where they provided computational and technical assistance for projects related to neural networks and acoustic waveguides. Brett also worked as a Research Assistant in the Department of Bioengineering from June 2005 to September 2005, conducting research on the effects of shear stress on early-stage E. coli biofilm formation.

Brett Anderson's education history begins in 2001 when they attended the University of Washington. From 2001 to 2006, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Bioengineering and a separate BS degree in Electrical Engineering. In 2006, Brett began pursuing a higher level of education at Boston University, where they completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biomedical Engineering from 2006 to 2013. Finally, they obtained a PhD in Biomedical Engineering also from Boston University, completing their doctoral studies in the same field from 2006 to 2013.
