Jose Perez

Jose Perez is an experienced culinary professional currently serving as the Executive Chef at Archie Moores since September 2023. As the Owner and Head Chef of The Meat Truck, LLC since April 2014, Jose operates a unique food truck specializing in gourmet sandwiches, pig roasts, smoked meats, and empanadas. Previously, from October 2018 to September 2023, Jose held the role of District Food Operations/Pitmaster at Bear's Smokehouse BBQ, where responsibilities included management and smoking operations. Earlier experience includes serving as a Sous Chef at Cast Iron Chef Chophouse from November 2017 to November 2019, and a diverse background in sales and management roles at Scholar Painting and Sherwin-Williams. Jose holds a Business Management degree with a focus on Entrepreneurship from Southern Connecticut State University, earned between 1998 and 2002.
